Concord attended the groundbreaking ceremony hosted by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN) on April 20, 2026, marking the start of construction on a state-of-the-art ambulatory healthcare center. MPTN has partnered with Hartford HealthCare to develop the 21,000-square-foot outpatient facility to blend a mix of traditional healing and western medicine. The Pequot Wellness Center will be located on the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and is a collaborative effort to serve both the local Pequot community and surrounding area.
The facility’s design will reflect the distinctive tribal culture, traditions and values of the MPTN. Upon completion, MPTN will occupy approximately half of the space to provide services to the tribal community members, while Hartford HealthCare (HHC) will occupy the remaining portion for its providers offering a walk-in clinic open to the public, along with physical therapy services and an on-site pharmacy.
Concord is proud to support this significant initiative by providing project management services to MPTN and HHC. Construction is currently targeted for completion in the summer of 2027.
